This photograph was taken on the coast of Mozambique, in Inhassoro, during a moment I had dreamed of capturing for many years. Watching local fishermen pull in their nets at the edge of the Indian Ocean, I was welcomed into a part of their everyday life shaped by hard work, tradition, and the sea. To stand alongside them, to lend a hand, and to share smiles and laughter in between the labour was an experience I will never forget. This photograph is a reminder of the joy a simple smile can bring, even when there is so little.
